What is P90X?

P90X or Power 90 Extreme is 90-day program that you do 6-7 days a week. Each workout takes 1-1 ½ hours, that’s 1-1 ½ hours of non-stop fitness. The intensity level for the workouts is far beyond any that you have heard of before.

As soon as you feel like you are getting use to the program and feel like it is staring to get easy, the program bumps it up a notch. This process is repeated several times so your body is constantly being pushed to its max.

If you are looking for a program that will help you only loose weight you should not be doing P90X. P90X was created for people who want to loose some weight but are really focused on gaining large muscles.

This workout program is not meant for people who are really out of shape or beginners. If you are a beginner you should probably start with something simpler like, Focus T25 and work your way up to Power 90 Extreme. Jumping right into Power 90 Extreme, as a beginner, could put you at risk for injuries.

What is the Nutrition Plan?

One thing that P90X is well known for is its very detailed Nutrition Plan. People who do Power 90 Extreme not only have to focus on their training but also their nutrition. P90X’s Nutrition Plan is far better than any other program. Most workout programs that do come with a nutrition plan have nothing special about them.

So the Power 90 Extreme Nutrition Plan is broken up into 3 different phases. Each phase will give your body all of the calories it needs each day for the amount of training you will be doing. The Nutrition Guide can be customized, depending on your level of training you are in. By following the approved foods that are given you can adjust the meals to whatever works best for you. Nutrition can make or break your body, it all depends on how badly you want it.
